Visting Gatorland Orlando

Visiting Gatorland in Orlando, Florida with our daughters was an adventure we will never forget. This 110-acre park is dedicated to showcasing the beauty and majesty of alligators and other reptiles, and we were able to have a fantastic time exploring the park and all it has to offer.

As soon as we arrived at Gatorland, we were greeted by the park’s mascot, a friendly alligator named Gator Chomps. The kids were in awe of the giant alligator, and they couldn’t wait to start exploring the park. The first thing we did was take a walk through the park’s Alligator Breeding Marsh, where we saw hundreds of alligators sunning themselves on the banks of the pond.

Next, we went to the Gator Jumparoo Show, where we watched as handlers demonstrated how alligators use their powerful jaws and tails to catch food. Our daughters were amazed by the agility and strength of the alligators, and they couldn’t stop talking about the show for the rest of the day :-).

After the show, we explored the park’s boardwalk, which takes visitors through a swamp-like environment filled with alligators, exotic birds, and other reptiles. We even had the chance to see some snakes that call Florida their natural home, fortunately from a safe distance.
Along the boardwalk, we stopped at several viewing platforms, where we were able to get up close and personal with the alligators and other animals. The kids… well, they didn’t know where to look first.

Finally, we ended our day at Gatorland by visiting the park’s aviary, where we saw exotic birds up close and personal. The aviary is home to over 50 species of birds, and the oldest one loved learning about the species and their unique habitats, while the youngest one was getting tired and looking forward to a nap.

Anyway, for us visiting Gatorland in Orlando was a fantastic experience. We had a great time exploring the park and learning about the alligators and enjoyed the shows. So, if you’re looking for a fun and educational day trip in Florida, I highly recommend visiting Gatorland. Your kids will love it!
